Mark currently lives in Charlotte, NC with Amanda (Vought), also an ‘89 alum. Married in 1991, they lived in NYC and Atlanta, prior to moving to Charlotte. They raised 2 girls there (Zoë, currently at Georgetown (SFS’20), and Addison who’s a member of the Class of 2022 at Vassar College).
At GU, Mark was one of the less infamous residents of Darnall 5, but learned to juggle with roommate, Dave Weicht. Sophomore year was filled with Wiffle Ball and courtyard parties at Henley with Jeff Blanc, Norman Fekrat and Lynn Moore. His junior year was spent abroad in the Netherlands attending Nijenrode University, where he met Amanda. Senior year he rejoined Jeff and Norman, along with Christopher T. Wood and Michael Ouweleen in Nevilles, all of whom, if the rumors are true, have 5 roosters named after them.
Mark graduated from the business school and has had a career in leveraged credit and asset management, working at Chemical Bank (Manufactures Hanover) and Wachovia. Mark co-founded Gulf Stream Asset Management in 2002, which was sold in 2011. Currently, Mark is managing a few private equity investments via his partnership in New Street Investment Partners.
